The Peavey Vypyr (Generation 1) Librarian software for PC used to be downloadable from this forum.
It has since been removed and there is no sign of it.
Development was abandoned.before a fully working version could be written.
I can't seem to be able to contact anyone at Peavey technical or R&D. It's impossible.
I am appealing to anyone at Peavey who has access to the Vypyr (Generation 1) Librarian Source Code.
PLEASE could someone release the source code, in any way possible, so that us users can develop it further and finish it off?
If Peavey want to retain rights, or completely disown it, I don't care. I just want a working Librarian.
I know it would not take me long to fix it up if I had the source code.
You have nothing to lose by releasing it, but would gain a lot of respect.

Yes, I have. I don't see any Source Code there. Did I miss it?j0nsnell wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 3:08 amHave you tried Peavey?

Send them an email requesting it, if it is not copyrighted, they may well send you a link to download it.

I have tried that, several times. Peavey never reply.j0nsnell wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 12:22 pmSend them an email requesting it, if it is not copyrighted, they may well send you a link to download it.

Maybe you've had better luck than me from that route.
I have also tried reaching out to people on this forum that may be connected with Peavey. No-one has replied.

That's why I've put this request here, in the hope that someone from Peavey Technical/R&D might see this and actually communicate with me.
It's an extremely slim hope, given how dead this forum is, but you've got to try.
Re: Vypyr Gen1 Librarian Source Code request
I second that request.Terrier wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:06 pmThe Peavey Vypyr (Generation 1) Librarian software for PC used to be downloadable from this forum.

It would be very generous and helpful to the amp owners.

Re: Vypyr Gen1 Librarian Source Code request
Hi everyone,
If anyone is looking to code or recode new software for managing presets for the OG Vypyr line please include @Terrier and I.
Terrier had been working on patching the Peavey Librarian software.
I wrote some Python code to connect to these amps and unload / reload data from excel .xlsx files
http://www.ophidiam.com/builds/102/Ophdiam102.zip
I would really like to get a UI going and collaborate with others, if they are out there, that would take on group effort in coding.
I asked Peavey for the source code to the Librarian years ago, never happened. I worry the Vypyr line is almost at it's end altogether. I do think a well designed preset manager could do wonders for these amps and us, the users.
