Hi Jose,

Do these presets work with Revalver 4? I just tried to import the bank but when I go to the folder where the file is stored Revalver doesn't see the file.

Thanks for your help.

That seems to be a soundbank for Revalver III.

Thanks for your reply Lain. I just bought Revalver 4 and I can't tell the difference with the banks and presets available here. So far none of the ones i've downloaded appear to be for R4.

I'll keep trying. Thanks for the info.

Hey, you can look at the date they have been posted. If they have been posted before Revalver 4s release, it's sure they are for Revalver 3.
What do you mean by not working? If it's a bank you gotta load it via "Import Bank" and if it's a single preset you gotta load it via "Import Preset" inside a bank you earlier made.
If the preset uses a module that you don't own you get the "beep" tone of course.

Generally it's the best idea to make your own presets, since people have different guitars, interfaces and speakers anyways.
So what may sound like a good, for example, Hendrix preset on my setup might not sound anywhere near Hendrix on your setup.

Anywhere to get presets based on artists instead of tonal presets such as clean presets, high gain presets, etc ? I know everybody's setup may not be the same and presets may sound a lil different but a lil tweaking could do the trick. Like you said you have some Jimi Hendrix presets. I would like to find some presets based on artists and/or song titles. Anywhere to find them? It would be a good way to learn how others set up their tones for various artists.

Sadly no. :(

There is the Earthshaker which i think is like Halens Eruption tone.
Also worth checking out is the Retrocaster or something like that (can't look right now) preset.

For Hendrix i would start with the Michael amp, 4x12 cab, condenser mic, volume between 1-5 somewhere, dial the bass and mids in to around 7 or 8 and the treble a bit out to around 3.
This is just from the top of my head, can't test it out right now, but it should be somewhere around a clean Hendrix like tone that you can use as starting point.
From there i would test different cabs and mics, adjust the bass, mid, treble, change the proximity and probably use the Sherrif for drive and add a reverb.
Could also try the Bluesmaker amp.
Of course, a single coil guitar would be best here, or at least split the humbuckers if you have one.... and Hendrix fingers and turn your guitar upside down. :D

Your best chance right now is just to google what gear the artists use and try to use similar sounding stuff.

Yea, I've been doing research on the gear of the guitarists that I've been looking for. It's kinda tough to find some of the gear in Revalver 4 though. For instance, I was looking for a fuzz box, tape echo, etc. I know some of these things will need to be replaced with something similar but it's still a lot of work. We should have a section on the forums here based on Revalver 4 alone and presets where we can upload for each other. Based on artist name or song tiles. I still like to try to come up with some close matches for tones of various artists but would be nice to just download some too. :) And as I'm new to amp modeling software and the like, it makes it extra tough. And yes, I guess I can go buy a left handed telecaster and reverse the strings around for a partial Hendrix tone. :)

You have to look for 3rd party 64-bit vst's. For instance, right now izotope is giving away a really great delay called DDLY. If you have the 3rd party module for revalver you can use it within the program. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/eff ... mic-delay/ . I started to make a 3rd party page earlier this year: There are a few things, free and for sale here http://peavey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=41251. I have yet to find a really great fuzz pedal, but the multi-drive pedal by audiffex is a close place to start: http://shop.audified.com/collections/pr ... 1146710791

I hope so. I just found 1 fuzz, it's in Waves GTR full version (It's not included in the cheaper Solo version). Quite pricey if you buy it just for the fuzz.
