Midi foot controller for Revalver?

Post by functionform » Sat Jun 08, 2019 2:13 am

I'm aching for a foot pedal experience, especially for a wah. What do people use midi wise for wah and patch change to be more like the effects pedal experience?

The consensus in the guitar world seems to be that the Behringer FCB1010 is the most flexible MIDI foot controller out there.
It can also be expanded and customized with various e-proms. I have not had the opportunity to test it with ReValver tho.
Wouldn't it be so very nice if Peavey would just develop some ReValver hardware? Dedicated foot controller, ReValver
powered fx box or head....Like Bias FX has done....are you listening Hartley?

I looked at the FCB. It was kind of a turn off from all the people complaining about its midi experience. Also it would require a connector of some sort. Instead I took the opportunity to upgrade my keyboard for one with an expression input. My new M-Audio MGear expression pedal (25 bucks) works great for the wah. I still have to figure out the patch switching, I have an MPD218 that I don't use much to probably fit that goal.

Ultimately I deferred on the purchase of a dedicated foot pedal and upgraded my midi controller which has a slot for a dedicated expression pedal. Well worth it for real wah controller :)
