NAMM 2013 and ReValver Mk IV
Hey; they say NAMM 2013 is over. What do I know, they never send me to California to look at cool new music gear... They only send my sunny pictures back to my Facebook account.
Instead I was at the office working on Mk IV. It's been 2 full years in the making now. The reason for this amount of time is that it's simply a brand new program - but we kept the trademarks and some of the graphics.
I was thinking, why not enter beta testing now? While Mk IV wasn't officially announced at NAMM, lots of people could see whatever the boss brought to the show.
I wonder if there are any users on this forum interested in beta testing?

I would totally be up for beta testing. Pretty please.
Edit for some info:
Been using revalver since MKII back in the alienconnection days.
Desktop with win7 and Laptop with win8.
I have several older and newer versions of DAW software and i've been beta testing games and software before.

Re: NAMM 2013 and ReValver Mk IV
I would definatly love to explore V4 as beta tester. (I do a lot of building amps from scratch, as well as modding existing once, I developed my own philosophy of using/missusing virtual simulated
amps (schematics) in V3.5, but there are quite some limits there.
Wondering if you add Tube types (EF86), and Structures (cascode, etc..), to it.
looking forward to put hands on V4

Although I am new here, and it's my first posting, I would be happy to help with Beta testing. Been using amp sims now for about 4 years but I am no pro. Thanks.

Re: NAMM 2013 and ReValver Mk IV
I would love to! I'm a guitarist and recording/mix engineer who has used various Mesas, Engls, etc., along with many various amp simulators, but my favorite amp is my Peavey 5150. The RV III.V 6505 does a really good job at replicating what I love about it (after tweaking the tubes and biasing and using impulses I made from my cabinet), but there's something a little odd about the transient response with rapid, repeated palm muting. If this is resolved in RV IV, you will have a total amp killer, and I'd love to help you test it out.
Edited to add hardware/software specs:
Dell Studio 1745
2.2GHz Intel Core2Duo
4GB RAM
Windows 8
REAPER v4.32 x32/x64

Most of the time private beta tests have you sign non-disclosure agreements, meaning that people couldn't tell you if they were beta testing or not until after the beta testing is done.Lain wrote:Anyone got a message yet? Just want to know if i should keep my hopes up.
(At least, that's the way it was when I was testing stuff for Cakewalk.)
