Old X-Frame manual and reset

Post by ctclark1 » Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:21 am

I apologize for posting about an old piece of equipment in the wrong forum, but since the MM forum is locked to registered contractors/installers and MM is kind of the child of AA, I figured this would be the next most logical place to ask these questions.

A) Is there any way to get a full copy of the old MM X-Frame (the original 2 rack space model) manual? My employer had one installed way back when ('98) and only got a photocopied "this is a preliminary manual, you will be shipped a full one when we finalize it" from the original installer (who is no longer in business). This "manual" has like no information in it besides "here are the inputs, here are the outputs, here are the front buttons". My primary questions with this involve the X-Ware software and how to set up more intuitive user menus on a computer, and how you make use of the preset buttons on the front, but it would be nice to have the overall manual for it anyways.

B) I asked this about 5 years ago on the old forums, but no longer have the information - how do you perform a full reset on an X-Frame?

If anyone has more experience with one of these and would like to help me one on one with more advanced configuration (I've got the generic setup of getting audio from point a to point b with internal processing down, but again would like to make better use of a computer controller and front buttons) feel free to PM me. I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Can you send your request to Mediamatrix support at [email protected]? I will be glad to respond and send
you a manual.

Thanks,

Emailed.

Not gonna lie, I wish I wasn't trying to make a rather outdated piece of equipment rise from the ashes, but its just not in the budget. I was lucky to get a vsx26 for a different system last year, so I'll make do.

Thanks in advance for your help!

(stuff snipped out)

Thanks in advance!
There is no "kind of" about it... MediaMatrix is the child of Architectural Acoustics. Then it grew up.

The MediaMatrix User Forum used to require you to send an email message to [email protected] to get a user account. Then I would create your account with your username and email address and it would email you a password. We never refused admittance to anyone who asked, we were just trying to keep the spamming rif-raff out. After all, I don't need to see any more messages about that garbage.

However, since that time we have updated the forum software and opened registration back up since you now have to jump through some hoops at which the spam bots generally fail. Anyhow, if you are using MediaMatrix products, please come on over and join us!
