Hell-o ; Anybody using the 48e yet? picked up one this week. i've been going thru the demo version on the gui. so far i like it, except for one feature that got lost- no aes inputs . I hope to hook up a couple of rigs next week and input the presets and try out .

Hell-o All; Wanted to give a little update on the vsx48e. So far ive hooked up a sp3-218 and 118 rig , qw2 bi. the gui is working great. I don't foresee making wholesale changes on the fly , but i like being able to monitor the system real time . I'll set up a full vr rig in jan. Rumor has it the digital mixer becomes real in jan. ???

I'm new to the VSX world. Does anyone post the parameters anywhere to manually enter presets from the original VSX's as a starting point for the new ones? I don't have an RTA set up yet to dial in my own but I'd like to at least be able to A-B accepted settings for my rig. I currently have 2-QW2F and 2- QW218. I plan to use a PV900 for the highs right now until I can track down a CS1400/2000. I have 3-CS4080 for the mid/lows, everything will be at 8ohms.

Hello sir; Im not real good with a computer. Ive been inputting the vr settings into my new 48e all morning today. I think you need to have a slightly larger amp on the highs. I would reccommend a cs 3000 or a iprII 3000 or something similar. a cs 3000 is 86 volts on the output. most of the time thats what i use on the qw rig = cs3000 highs- cs4080 mids- cs4080 lows. Good Luck DP

I was hoping that all this chain rattling would spur semper fi or peavey pro into getting back into this forum. steve has a wealth of experience programming . Don has loads of experience with a vr system, and guys like me have just plain worn Marty's last nerve. Talk about learning to fish- he's built several lakes. DP

I plan to use RTA software to eq my system but I'm limited to the room I'm in. I'll be glad to share everything once I get it up and running. I just can't justify spending the money on Smaart software just to set up a system once for my needs. I'm a hobbyist. It would be nice if Peavey would step up and post what they have and even use the new processors to re-eq all of the speakers and amps in their current product lineup and maybe even a few of the legacy products like the SP1G/X's and larger subs to ease the upgrade for people who still have and use many of those products. I'm sure Peavey has better resources than any of us like an anechoic chamber and better testing equipment. If they gave us settings for anechoic and half-space for everything this would be a real winner. The 26/48e's have no presets and there doesn't appear to be a way to load the presets from the older models. No CD horn eq preset etc. I'm also a Peavey dealer and its going to be extremely hard to sell the new processors to anyone who isn't a sound engineer with access to RTA software etc. It's no longer a consumer product which is fine but Peavey is a consumer product company. If they make it easier for the end user to get up an running I can't see why anyone who sells PA system shouldn't be able to sell a boatload of these. Kinda feels a bit like they took a small step back only to take a slightly larger step forward but that might just be me.

Hell-o ; So far i like what i have ran thru. It's very similar to a venue 360. There is a very good generic sp2-218 preset on the forum here somewhere. load the top 2/3rd as a two way bi-amp, the whole thing as a 3 way. So far i like it. thumbs up
