Vypyr VIP-1 Volume issue

I got this amp and it send to work but the volume is limited. My old crate 15 watt and line 6 Spyder 4 which is I think 20 watt is maybe 5 times louder at Max volume. They can be heard of you have a very soft driver. But this VIP-1 is the definition of bedroom amp. It's as loud as a small TV. Is there anything I can do?

It's defective. The VIP1 I had was loud as hell.
