New Vypyr X line. What do you guys think?

Post by WrldEatr9 » Sat Jun 12, 2021 1:23 am

Glad to see Peavey worked on these. Not crazy about the top panel as opposed to the slanted front of the VIPs. Sure hope they upgraded those unreliable rotary knobs/pots and the lousy volume taper. I wouldn't bet on it though. They look more sober, hopefully those who complained about the look of the VIPs will like it. Speakers also seem different. Weird that the X1 doesn't have bluetooth. I'd be surprised if the firmware/modelling is updated at all (that noisy noise gate...). By now, they should have included an effects loop in the X3. Master Volume doesn't go up to 13 anymore :(

It'll be interesting to see what they'll do with the Vypyr Pro / X Pro(?).
