Vypyr & Sampera II comunication problem

I have a Vypyr 60 watt amp and the Sampera II controller. I decided to reset the factory settings on the amp and once I did this the amp is no longer communicating correctly with the Sampera II. It was working perfectly up until I reset the amp. There is jibberish in the Sampera screen and I cannot make any kind of changes with the foot pedal.

This is the original version of the Vypyr.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get them the communicate properly again? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
