VYPYR VIP 2 knobs only go clockwise

I have had this problem for a year but it just started to bother me. All the parameter knobs (pre-gain, low,mid,high, post-gain) only go up, when I turn the knobs backwards, first they try moving slightly backwards but then start going upwards. I tried doing a factory reset and either I did it wrong or it didn't work. What could be the problem with those potentiometers/encoders?

Try searching this subforum, but I seem to recall someone else had encoder issues. The encoders responded quite to a spray of Deoxit and a little turning to resolve the weird behavior. Quite similar to dirty potentiometers.
