Vypyr Vip1 - USB recording help

Post by alexss » Tue Aug 20, 2019 3:13 pm

I have a Peavey Vypyr Vip1 and I need to record the guitar along with the backing track. I send the backing track signal to the amp through the aux input but the problem is that the USB port outputs only the guitar, without the backing track.
Is there a way to record the guitar AND the backing track by using the USB port?
Thanks

I got the answer from the support: "The AUX input doesn't go to the USB output. Only to the amp and the headphones."
So it's not possible to mix the backing track with the guitar sound in the USB output.

Why would you even need to do it? You can hear backtrack while recording, and you can import backtrack into your DAW. After you have imported backtrack into your DAW, and recorded you guitar output, just sync them right there in your DAW.
