Hi,
I have a Peavey VYPYR 3 and a Windows 10 laptop, and I am trying to update the firmware so that I install the editing software. I have downloaded the SYX file fro mthe Peavey site, but how do I actually update the firmware on the amp?? do I need additional software to push the update to the amp? I have the USB cable attached from the amp to my laptop.
Any help is greatly appreciated...
Thank you !!

Re: How Do I update Firmware ??
First of all, do you know that you NEED the update? Unless your VIP 3 is fairly old, you probably don't. My suggestion, go ahead and get the editor and try to run it. If your amp does need the update, the editor will prompt you. If the editor connects with your amp, you are good to go.
If you do need the update, you also need the Vypyr Updater from the software page to load the Syx file to the amplifier. Make CERTAIN you have the correct Syx file as well. Loading first generation Vypyr software into your VIP will brick the DSP in the amp.
I highly recommend watching the Vypyr Edit demo video if you have not already done so. You will find it here:
