Hello Jay - are you still out there??
Nice job on the chart - I just got my VIP 3, and so I am just starting to read the forum.
Did you develop this in Excel?? If so, can/would you post the Excel file?
I would like to chart my own presets as I develop them, and having the Excel file would rock!
I do wonder about one thing... as the factory presets start to repeat with bank 16, why did you bother to chart those? Lol :D

Since the presets repeat, are the presets that repeat exactly the same if so can you delete them? I'd like to delete them and get more space to add my own presets How do you delete the repeated presets since aren't needed if they are the samr

Here is the attachment for Jay's Preset Chart and my chart which stops at bank 29 because the rest are repeated to fill all banks.
And Diablo62 you can replace any preset you do not want with your own. Start at bank 16 if you want to maintain the defaults.

Just by saving your preset over the one you want to replace.

Can you rearrange the presets so your favorite own presets are at the beginning without overwriting the beginning default ones, just move them Down further in the list

You can move them around using VYPYR EDIT, However I believe it would be a lot easier to just Leave banks 16 through 35 for your defaults, these are repeats of banks A through 15.

Oi have the list of presets but how do you move them around or rearrange the presets in VIP edit. Say move 16-1 to a-1

Here is the instructions.
First connect amp and computer, Turn both on then start the Vipyr Edit Program. Select the preset you want to move or replace (A1)on your amp, next on the editor save this preset. Now on the editor you can program the preset you want then give a name. Then write it to amp bank A, preset 1. Now on the editor you can open the preset you saved in the editor and write it to any bank, preset you do not want to keep on the amp. If you just want to exchange presets, write the saved preset to bank 16, preset 1. BTW A-1 and 16-1 are the same Preset. (Duplicated)

Hi all, I'm new to the Vypyr 3 and Sanpera II, and have used it 2 weeks in a row, :D with just some basic settings (been playing for 38 years, local cover bands) just curious, does the "Revalver" actively interact via USB in "realtime" to dink with the patches and whatnot? I'm computer savvy (built many of my own machines) it's just the interfacing part I'm stuck on. Do I need drivers for this interface to work?

Thanks in advance, fellow "rockers" out there :-)

Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 - Presets and Code Key QUESTION

Post by HaoleMike » Tue Oct 12, 2021 10:18 am

Thanks so much. This thread has been idle for 4 years, but I'm hopeful someone will come back and answer my question.

I'm using the XLS spreadsheet to put in models through Vypyr edit.

My question is, on the parameters for the knobs, is that on a 10 point scale for all of them? Even the Reverb/delay?

TIA
