Does anyone know if or how this can be done? I have an old Alesis MidiVerb II that I’d like to use but I have no idea how to hook it up to my mixer. I’ve tried YouTube and Google and I’ve come up with nothing relating to effects units.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Adding external FX to PV20
Re: Adding external FX to PV20
If you don't want to use the built-in effects processor, just use an external one instead:
1) turn off the built-in processor with the EFX/DEFEAT button (depressed)
2) connect PV20's EFX output to your external processor's input
3) connect the external processor's output(s) to one of them PV20's ST/Line inputs as a master return and turn up the channel volume to the desired level
4) the EFX send knob will be the EFX master send in this case, which will drive the external processor. Be careful not to overdrive the input of the external processor!
If you want to use the built-in effect processor at the same time as the external one:
1) you have to sacrifice one monitor path (e.g: MON2)
2) connect PV20's MON2 output to your external processor's input
3) from here on, points 3-4 of the previous section are the same
