Re: Need an approximate date of manufacture
I am not a date guy, but is there another tag on the bottom of the amp, a tag that says Peavey and all.? I don't know older serial numbers, but that doesn't look to my eye like a Peavey number tag. I could be wrong.
If my customer demands to know the age, I look on the controls and transformer for date codes.

That looks like an inventory tag to me. Very similar to the ones that the state of Arkansas used for years. They were not removed when the items got old and were sold.Enzo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 5:09 pmI am not a date guy, but is there another tag on the bottom of the amp, a tag that says Peavey and all.? I'd go with Enzo's advice.

Inventory tag, that was the term, I couldn't think of it. Hey, I'm old... All I could think was "asset label" and that sounded wrong.

Well, inventory counts as an asset on the balance sheet. Technically correct.
