IS PROTON CS3000/4000 A PEAVEY CLONE?

Post by Beano » Wed Sep 11, 2024 4:12 am

I've recently acquired 2 Proton Amps which have Identical front panels to the Peavey versions. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why the CH B is lower than CH A. Both the Amps have the same issue at the same gain levels but work perfectly well. Any thoughts/ideas/know what's going on???

Did you swap the inputs to see if the problem moved to the other side? A bad XLR input cable could drop the volume by 6 dbs. If you swap the input cables around the bad cable and lower output would move to the other side.
