Need help with the right power amp
Need help with the right power amp
Need help lol . I’m new at this and I have 2 pv215 speakers what is a good power amp for a reasonable price and how is the best way to connected everything ? thank you so much.
Re: Need help with the right power amp
The PV215 is a 4 ohm box, rated 700W program (350W continuous) so choose an amp that delivers between those two amounts at 4 ohms per channel. Consider what kind of music you will play through them, as heavy bass material with sustained low notes is closer to a "continuous" tone than really dynamic music like jazz.
That said, the CS1400 puts out 500W at 4 ohms per channel, or the IPR2-2000 which puts out 530W at .15% THD but can hit up to 600W for very short duration occasional peaks.
If you consider used amps on ebay or something, an old CS800 is still a viable option. They do 400W per channel at 4 ohms very reliably.
