can I replace the Peavey speakers with other brands like Celestion without affecting the sound quality or power?

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and have a question regarding the use of Peavey products. I currently own a Peavey 6505+ amplifier and I would like to ask about optimizing the sound when using different speakers. Can I use other brands of speakers (like Celestion or Eminence) in place of the original Peavey speakers without affecting the sound quality or power? And if so, are there any special considerations about connecting other speakers to Peavey amplifiers that I need to know? Looking forward to receiving help from the community. Thanks a lot!

you shouldn't have an issue as long as the ohms are the same

Matching the impedance is key to not harm the amplifier.

As far as effecting the sound, for sure that will happen. It is a matter of perspective to you on whether or not it is a positive or negative effect.
