Peavey CL-2 Cluster

Post by DrummerBoy! » Tue Jun 28, 2022 10:21 pm

Hello. I'm new to speakers. I bought a Peavey CL-2 Cluster speaker at a storage auction for $30.00 There are two sets of connections on the back. To bi amp you have to bi wire. How difficult is bi wiring and passive bi amping. Thinking about using this for a high performance home theater system or home recording studio. Any help would be appreciated.

for either i would just go the easiest route and not bi amp and run this speaker fullrange .
however i believe they really only have a response to around 250 hz? so IMO you will need a sub.

as long as you are not expecting a high fidelity production of sound.
i do think it should perform decently,
just keep in mind,
its a 30 dollar,
20+ year old speaker design
and
it wasnt designed for either of the 2 uses you are considering using it for.
