Hi Guys, dedicated Peavey player here. I’m currently gigging a classic 30 head through a classic 410e extension cab. Sounds good but I want to replace 2 of the blue marvels to see how I like it. They have 16 ohm on the label and these speaker codes on one of the speakers: the cab is original so no speakers swapped during its life.
67-924220084
70777113
The cabinet serial number is 00-00590395
I would like to find out the wattage of the speakers and get any recommendations for 2 new speakers
Many thanks!

Re: Blue Marvel 10” speakers
I too am looking for advice. I’ve played a 410E Cabinet with a Classic 100 head for decades. Just got the rig out of storage and all 4 cones are torn. I’m having trouble finding Blue Marvels to begin with never mind finding what can be a suitable replacement. I’m assuming all four cones would be rated 100W to meet the cabinets 400W Cabinet rating, but I can’t find any with that wattage rating.

I have never been able to find the speaker power rating, but the Classic 410E is rated 400W continuous, 800W program. That would imply the speaker can handle 100W continuous, 200W program. The 410E cabinet specifications are available here.

Below is a snip from the Speaker Enclosure to Component Reference below, showing what the original speakers were.
Mine are still holding up in my Classic 50 410 and 410E, so I do not have a personal recommended replacement. However the speakers were likely manufatured for Peavey by Eminence. An Eminence Legend is probably close, but they currently are not producing a 16 ohm 10 inch. You could review the Legend 8 ohm specifications, and try to find a 16 ohm speaker with comparable specs. Currently in the Classic 50 410 Peavey is using a Celestion Ten 30, G10R-30. These are probably good target specs also. Obviously you need to ensure the replacements can handle the cabinet power ratings if you intend to use it with more powerful amplifiers. If you are going to limit it to your Classic 100 head, you could get by with 200W continuous, 400W program for the cabinet, which is 50W continuous, 100W program per speaker.
If you do find replacements that you are happy with, please post back and let us know what speakers you used.
