I know about power loss per xx ft @ xx ohms but what about time delay..?
Should speaker cables be same length to not introduce a signal delay mismatch.?
Delay x speaker cable length
Re: Delay x speaker cable length
Time delay? The electric current moves through a wire at almost the speed of light. Light will go ALL the way around this earth seven and a half times in one second. Or put another way, in one NANOSECOND - a billionth of a second - electricity moves a little less than one foot. So even if one of your wires is 1000 feet longer than the other, the delay would still only be a millionth of a second - one microsecond. That will not remotely affect the sound. Not unless we start h4aring Megahertz.
