Peavey SP1 Question
Re: Peavey SP1 Question
Yes , Bi-amp in is a straight shot to the woofer. Remember though the Low Frequency Limit of the sub section is right around 58/59hz. They were never really designed to be used as a Sub Woofer more of a Mid/Woofer. Back when the SP1 came out in the 70's this response was fine for what they were doing. If your system has a Low Cut Filter or High Pass Filter set that to around 55hz. Low frequencies below this at enough volume can damage the woofer. This will help protect the 15 inch speaker in them. If you need high output below 55 hz or so you may need to look into a better solution.

Re: Peavey SP1 Question
Thanks for the reply
I will be careful, I want to try a different horn on top and did not want to have to take the crossover out and wire directly to the woofer. I have another crossover for the the different horn will be using the LF on The SP1 to test it out.
Thanks

Re: Peavey SP1 Question
The biamp jacks are not for making it a subwoofer. They are there for, well, biamping. Separate amps for woofer and tweeter.
