Stupid man trying to set up Peavey Stadia II B / PR 1003 speakers

Post by shawnshank » Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:25 am

I have been given a set of Peavey Stadia II B / PR 1003 speakers and I'd like to use them in my yard and use my iphone to play music through them but I am not smart enough to figure out how to do that. These speakers have the old style screw inputs on the back for speaker wire but how do I power them? Is there an inexpensive product I can purchase that I can connect speaker wire to that will power the speakers and also allow me to attach to my iphone (preferably with a bluetooth option) and play music from spotify or pandora?
I found this online...would something like this work?
Speaker manual also attached below.

That marine grade amplifier would need a 12V power supply to operate, plus it is 4 channels, so with 2 speakers, you would have 2 unused channels on that amp. You could use a common home stereo receiver unit, maybe find one in a yard sale that doesn't have the speakers with it. Otherwise, you will need to get a separate amplifier and a bluetooth receiver device. If those speakers are the 70v distribution type, then this might be what you need...
