Hello everyone it's my first post here and hope I put it in the right place.
I recently purchased a 4-12 cabinet online that was advertised as a bass cab and now I'm not so sure. It doesn't have a model designation like 412m or 412f. It just has the serial number 3m-1059xx on the back. It's got vents in the middle of the cabinet making it a two 2/12 cabinet of sorts and square magnet 12 inch speakers.
It sounds okay playing bass at house levels through my Peavey bass MarkIII 400, but I have been leary of playing out with it at band volume so I don't blow the speakers if it is for guitar.
So anywho, does the M in the serial number stand for Musician making it a guitar cab and yay or nay for using it as a bass cabinet?
1970's 4-12 Musician cab???
