Identify Speaker Cab

Post by tommyguitar63 » Tue Jun 18, 2019 6:55 pm

Why is so hard to get info on older Peavey products? Just bought these cabs (with MF2-X horns) for $200.

Of course, the back plate was removed so I have no model # for the cabs. Can't even find a picture on Pinterest.

Your assistance is appreciated!

UPDATE: received this yesterday -

Hello,

The bottom speaker is a :

115 SC ( Scoop ) with 1505-8 DT BW speaker , 8 ohms, 250 watts continuous , 500 watts program.

$399.99 each 1986/87.

155 lbs.

60Hz @ (-)3dB

40Hz rolloff @ (-)10dB

Looks like a MF2-X Horn w/ 22A horn driver. 8 ohms, Crossover 150 watts continuous, 800Hz crossover frequency.

Thanks,
Aubrey

Thanks for the update, Tommy. I'm sure that a lot of us out here were curious about your cabs, too. I know I was, even though I don't have any. I remember hearing them back in the day...

I just located a pair of these exact same speakers locally!
I will be picking them up when weather permits. It is still summer here in the Tampa Florida area, and all I have to transport them in is a open bed pick up truck.
How did they work out for you ?

I just happened to be on a Mexican page that is making a "new box" for this year, a 1600w eminence 15" woofer rear loaded horn, and had a flashback to my 90's...had a pair of scoops 15" Black Widow loaded i think jbl clones so i was searching the web and found this tread and some pictures of a 115SC model, i didn't even know that thing was made, and of course i'm tempted to clone a couple (i'm out USA so buying is not an option), I even have a pair of 1508kadt collecting dust. but there are no peavey plans on the web, especially for the internal horn behind the driver,,,,clues???.... and yes, could avoid headaches and backaches with a modern design, but what would be the fun :D :D .
also that design continues fighting. Thanks.
