Cirrus truss rod tool size

Post by Squidly » Fri Jun 19, 2020 6:33 pm

Hi all, I have recently bought a USA Cirrus, an early one from what I gather, serial number starting with 1012.
I need to set it up as it has way too much relief but due to the short truss rod access route I cannot get anything in there to see what size alan wrench I need to use.
It seems to be about 4mm but I suspect it is imperial, cutting down an alan wrench is not a problem, I just need to know what size I should be using, in case someone else has started o round it out.
Can anyone tell me what size tool I should be using?

It's 4mm.

Do Not Use SAE hex keys, they are a tiny bit smaller and will round the hex nut.
