Is it possible to find out where my Cirrus was built?
Is it possible to find out where my Cirrus was built?
I bought a used Cirrus 4 MFB Quilt Top bass and it's fantastic. I'm curious where it was built. It says Mfg Loc 2 on a sticker and also gives a serial# and Item#. 2017 it says. I have a difficult time to find any info at all. Is it possible? Thanks.

"Mfg Loc" was plant 2 in Meridian MS. Your "2017" must be a typo as Peavey shutdown production in Plant 2 back in 2010.
The disused site was donated to a school year or so back. Was still standing last summer but the dozers might have leveled the place by now.

Actually, Plant 2 was donated to a local ministry. Plant 7 in nearby Decatur was donated to the school. There are no demo plans for either building as far as I know.kodiakblair wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 12:15 pm"Mfg Loc" was plant 2 in Meridian MS. Thanks for the correction. The other 2 points are still valid aren't they ?Roger Crimm wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 12:47 pmActually, Plant 2 was donated to a local ministry. Hey thanks so much. Yes, I made a mistake - it should have read 2007. Thanks again. It is a fine, fine bass.
Re: Is it possible to find out where my Cirrus was built?
New to this forum. I'm looking to find out where and when my Cirrus was born. Seems Peavey is not providing this info anymore. I just purchased a Cirrus 5 neck through, but no serial number stamped into the headstock and no stickers on the back of the headstock/neck. It does have a sticker with just the number 51071035 on the back of the 18v battery cover. The bridge is the one that comes on the USA builds. There is no BXP on the headstock, no sound plate on the back of the headstock, and the board has Peavey Cirrus, etc. embosed on it. I will attach some pictures. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Larry
