250k vs 500k

Hello. I’m working on updating wiring on a T-60 from the ground up and was wondering if I should replace the 250k pots with 500k. I’m probably going to keep the original pickups for the time being but may swap for some different humbuckers in the future. What do you guys think? I know that it’s probably going to come down to personal preference.
