Post by 81T60 » Wed Apr 24, 2019 3:52 pm

I'm trying to find out the difference between the Falcon Classic and the Falcon Standard. Can anyone help?
Thanks

In the early kahler 2 post models with a locking nut after the string nut,, the maple board was just "Falcon" The Classic had a rosewood board with a flatter radius and sometimes a matching headstock.
2nd series the classic meant a 4 screw vintage type bridge and metal tele type knobs.
Later Decola falcons with the graphtech saddle 2 posts had the standard (solid color) and the custom (quilt tops w translucent finish and gold hardware).
2- 87' Falcons, 90 Falcon Standard, 91 Falcon Custom,94 Axcelerator, 95 Firenza, Patriot, 83 Impact 2, 84 Horizon 2, Prowler, Wiggy, 2 X Classic 20,Classic 30 II, VK20MH(FieldKing!), 112SX cab, Transtube Pro 100 EFX, Transtube 258EFX

For the Decola falcons - the carved top models - and IMO the best guitars peavey ever made - the Standard body is all poplar while the Custom has a poplar body w a flamed maple cap similar to a les paul.
