By a strange coincidence I came into possession of an old PEAVEY strat: a 1994 PEAVEY Predator USA Stratocaster, special "Blackline" edition.
Guitar was identified by the serial number.
Apart from (as it currently seems) some minor cosmetic and technical issues, the overall shape and state of the guitar seems to be quite good (understating).
During the coming weekend or the following week I will take a closer look at the neck and the electrics, but I don't expect devastating news.
Question is: is this particular model ("Blackline" only available in 1994!) worth of restoring it and keeping it "original", or can I make it a "project" and probably replace some of the hardware including the pickguard?
I don't know anything about PEAVEY guitars, but I'm willing to do a good job on "Blacky" if she's worth it.
All suggestions and input appreciated.
