Peavey wolfgang neck finish
Peavey wolfgang neck finish
I have a 1998 Wolfgang Trans purple guitar. The neck and fret board seem unevenly discolored. It looks like there is some kind of finish on the neck and fret board, not oil finish. What is that? and is it factory or not?

That looks like someone had stained the fingerboard. I am not sure about removing that stain. The only thing I can think of is to sand it down, but that could mess up everything.

Yeah I tried ooo-steel wool. Didn't touch it. There is definitely some kind of finish on it. Polyurethane probably. I'm gonna refret it and keep it. I was gonna sell it but, it's such a great guitar thanks for your inputstudiodtk5 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 6:37 pmThat looks like someone had stained the fingerboard.
