Hello everyone. Could you please give me some advice?
I perform as a solo in small (less than 100 people) venues. I sing and play guitar, banjo, harmonica and ukulele both inside and outside. I need a PA system and am considering the Escort 3000, however the owner of the music store (where it seems that I spend almost all my waking hours) has recommended that I consider purchasing a KB 4 or KB 5. He is part of a small Polka Band and has used the KB 5 almost exclusively for their PA system.
I also play Bass, so he (the store owner) says that I could also use the KB for my bass amp, thereby eliminating my need for another large piece of equipment to haul around.
So, pleas tell me what you think about purchasing a KB-4 or KB 5 to use as a PA system as opposed to the Escort 3000?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
How does the KB 4 or KB 5 compare to an Escort 3000?

I'm really hoping that someone will venture an opinion based of knowledge and/or experience on this question.

I still recommend discussing this with customer service at the factory. They can make specific product recommendations.
A keyboard amp will have the bottom end of a bass amp, but is not really a PA system. A small PA system is not really an instrument amp. In your light duty application, you could probably get away with either. A small PA with speaker poles might get better coverage of an audience, but then it would be inconvenient as a single amp on stage.

Re: How does the KB 4 or KB 5 compare to an Escort 3000?
Thank you Enzo. The reason that I'm so tempted about this is that not only does the music store owner (where I spend my money) use the KB5 as his polka bands main PA system for Beer Tent and hall performances, but in the Owners Manual for the KB 5, it is described as "the world’s finest portable PA system" and the manual says that it is great for vocal, DJs and many instruments in a performance.
So I'm just trying to cut through the hype and get the opinion of an unbiased party.
Thank you for your input, I will phone Peavey also.

Thanks (I Think) for the reply, but unfortunately, I only understand English, so I was unable to understand any of those posts. I do, however, appreciate your effort

You can always use google translate...

Thanks Enzo, I didn't know about that. I'm going to try to figure out how it works. That would be great!

For small blocks of text, just copy and paste into the translate window and select the language.
The google toolbar also includes a translate this page feature.
