Is it repairable?mini max head

Post by GunderfusJazz » Mon Aug 08, 2022 10:00 am

Hey all,
I had a lighting strike in my yard. When I went to practice my head powered in but has a very noisy crackle , I thought it was my cab at first but testing has confirmed it is the head, tuner works, it stil gets loud but the crackle noise is above the bass level. Live this amp and was hoping it is fixable.
Fuse didn’t blow, power strip was off . Was a costly day my tascam dp24 won’t power on and my pedal board power supply is toast.

I have a loaner amp I am using for now but it is not my sound.

Bass is supposed to sound like peavey

It is the white knob version

Any help is appreciated

If it makes sound it is likely fixable. We just need to track down where the noise is coming from. Likely a failed semiconductor or two.
