VB-2

Post by Dead Surgeon » Wed Nov 03, 2021 1:01 pm

Simple Question:
First tube amp for me and one with this output configuration. Got it NOS a few days ago. Wondering about the output jacks. There are two 1/4" and they're in parallel. Just wondering for connecting to one cab do I use just one jack, matter which, or some kinda y-configured cable (which I've never seen)? Don't want to compromise the amp or burn the house down....
Thx

If they are wired in parallel, pick one and use it. Adding a Y-cord would do nothing.

Two jacks is for your convenience. You can use one jack for a cab, If you have one 4 ohm cab, plug it in. If you have two 8 ohm cabs making a 4 ohm total, then you could use both jacks, one per cab.

Nice score with it being NOS! I got my VB-3 a few months ago and I love it! Now I'm on the hunt for a VB-MA for my collection! The VB2 i only hear good things, just the weight of it is a detractor for my back lol
