Peavey mini mega 1000 bass amplifier

A description of my problem. Turn switch on ,,,,,lights up for one second then shuts down. Wait 2 to 3 minutes. Turn switch on lights up for one second then shuts down. any advice on what to look at. Thanks for your help.

I would suspect the class D amplifier power amplifier has failed, shutting down the power supply.
Check your warranty and return it to a Peavey authorised repair shop.

Amp is going into protect mode. Time for a tech. The protect circuitry is very complex

Probably a blown power FET but the cause must be investigated. Check power supply first!
If blown, remove its opposite and check the driver chip is oscillating. If it is, replacing the power FETs and gate protectors may get it going again.
If it isn't, replace the driver chiow, the gate protectors and power FETs.
