Hello, I have read here that, not surprisingly, people recommend replacing the capacitors on this unit. I just picked up one of these and bought it based on the name and tubes - sounded (or rather felt) like a good thing to buy.
My question is, when replacing capacitors on an amp do you need to use audio grade capacitors? People on this forum have stated that the signal goes through the capacitors which I would then think audio grade are needed. They are significantly more $ than "non-audio grade".
Nice to see this forum exists. I am not a master musician but I have always loved Peavey for 40+ years and I think their products are way better than Marshall. Granted I have not used many Marshall amps but I think Peavey has a great distinct sound. It's also nice that they are a private company still.
