6505mh Problem

Post by van_crüe13 » Fri Mar 24, 2023 7:13 pm

My 6505mh has stopped making noise. I suspect it to be an overheated power tube. However, I have never done anything to the tubes or the amp itself. Also, it is still in the 2-year peavey warranty so this should be covered. I have already emailed customer support but they haven't replied and it's been a week. So, do any of you guys know what to do to help get this fixed? Thanks!

Most likely the "speaker" button on the back got pushed in. Also check you channel volumes, just in case, those can get easily turned off without realizing it. If not you can try connecting the guitar directly to the effects loop to see if it's an issue with the preamp or the power amp. If it's something with the power tubes you should be able to see from the back if they're glowing all red or there are purple explosions or what. If it's not the power amp section, V1 tube could be busted.
