I just purchased a Masterpiece 50 1x12 combo from Reverb. Wonderful amp in many ways, but there are some issues, in part, with the foot switch. Does anyone know if it is a latching or non latching foot switch?
Thanks.

Re: Peavey Masterpiece Footswitch
It is a latching type foot switch. Peavey supplied it with a generic Peavey two button footswitch.

I purchased what I hoped would be the correct foot switch from Amazon. I have to say, Peavey wants way too much money for a basic foot switch with a really crappy rubber housing, but I wanted to be confident it would work, so that's what I bought. Yes it does work, and it's nice to have the LED's to show what is engaged.
Love the amp. Great cleans and pushed tones.

Great to hear it worked for you.
Having the LED indicators is so much nicer.
I’ve never had a problem with the Peavey footswitch. They’ve always worked good for me.
I know what you mean about the price, but if you’ve ever tried to make a footswitch yourself, you know that a quality push button itself is $8 to $10. Then add assembly, case, and cable.

Re: Peavey Masterpiece Footswitch
I used to buy used ones at reasonable prices. But the last few years on ebay people want as much or more for used that I can buy a new one for. I just did a quick search and it's still pretty much the same. I usually make my own but I've got used parts that I've salvaged over the years and I make my own cases.
The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know.
