6505 + Choke and standby switch mod

Anyone have any pictures of the "moved" standby switch when doing the choke mod? Thanks!

"The choke mod"?

Not sure what a choke would do here. If you are replacing the 400 ohm resistor with it, it will raise your screen voltage some.

Standby switch? I can only assume you want to move it between the rectifier and first filter. But why?

The choke reduces hiss and sort of reduces the amount of highs allowed through. This is a common mod and does replace the resistor at R210.

The mod also suggests moving the standby switch as if you do not you will get a loud POP.

I see the point of the switch. If you leave it, it is in series with the choke, which will guarantee a big spark.
