Can I make a Bandit Footswitch work on a 112 Special?
I still have my Peavey 112 Special that I purchased in 1981. I've never had another amp; this thing has done hundreds (thousands?) of gigs, countless thousands of hours of practise and teaching work, and is still bullet proof. The footswitch still works but is very battered and bruised. I have a foot switch from a Bandit that is virtually new but does not work on the Special because apparently they have some different circuitry or something? Can anyone tell me if and hopefully how I can make the Bandit foot switch work on my 112 Special?

If the newer one has LED lights it may not work. If that's the problem, the LED's could be disconnected. I'd do it in a manner that can be reversed if should decide to use it with the Bandit later.
The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know.
