6505+ loop without footswitch

Post by Sardu777 » Wed Jun 02, 2021 6:47 am

I’m using a friend’s 6505+ head at our shared jam room and it sounds monstrous with my 2x12 EV 12L cab. I’m looking to make it even more gooder with a Boss GE-7 in the loop but my friend got the amp used without the footswitch.

Is there a way to engage the loop without the proprietary footswitch? I’m not looking to toggle it on/off - I’d prefer to leave it always on.

Thanks.

Without the footswitch, the loop should automatically be always on.

Bump from the grave.

After several attempts with different pedals, cables and power sources, I can confirm that the effects loop is not active without the footswitch. My other guitarist also has a 6505+ and will have his footswitch with him at practice tomorrow Looking forward to trying it with the amp I’m using. Fingers crossed it doesn’t need a repair. Really want to run my new MXR 10 band EQ in the loop.

Grabbed an HQRP copy of the 6505+ footswitch off Amazon and it’s on its way to me. Should do the trick.

I bought the same footswitch for a 5150 II and I am pleased with it.
