Hi,
Just got this amp for pocket change cuz the reverb and gain channel don't work. I pulled the reverb tank and inspected it carefully. It seems to be ok. The RCA plugs for the input and output were buggered, so I replace those and connected them to the Molex connector, but it still doesn't work.
Before I pull the amp from the cabinet, here's a question that may sound dumb. Let's assume for now that everything is in proper order, all the connections, the tank and the circuitry is ok. If a previous owner had the footswitch and turned off the reverb, then lost the footswitch, would the reverb no longer work because it was switched off? There's no on/off on the front panel. The footswitch socket on the back takes a 7-pin connector. No way I'm buying the rare and pricey footswitch. If the reverb is "off", can I jump the pins on the socket for the reverb to turn it "on"?
Also, should there be any voltage at the Molex connector with the amp on? If so, what should the reading be?
I don't care much about the gain channel.
Thanks
Studio Chorus 210 reverb
