Bandit Silver Stripe resto and parts?

Post by JasonRP » Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:59 pm

Hello!
I've got an old Peavey Bandit Silver Stripe I'd like to fix up.
I'd like to start with replacing the broken reverb pot- shaft is broken, and of course knob missing. Any way to get these still?

Once I get the reverb knob and potentiometer, I'd like to restore this thing cosmetically. Re-tolex it, and if possible I'd like to replace the peavey logo and the bottom silver strip- both are damaged on mine.

Finally, anyone got the schematics for this model? I found the red-stripe schematics, but it appears there are differences.
Thanks so much!
Jason

Red/green/blue stripe is a term amp fans use, but my schematics go by model number. What is the EXACT name of the model on the serial number plate?

On the broken pot, there should be a number printed. What is that number?

You may have already fixed it, but I'd try running a patch cable between the fx in and out to see if that helps. Clean the input jacks as well. Also, ensure that the speaker wiring coming out from under the 'amp' portion is completely insulated and not grounding out. Check your speaker with a multimeter, another amp, or even a 9v if necessary to ensure the coil hasn't died.
