Discharge High Voltage?

Post by netrecce » Tue Aug 25, 2020 12:31 pm

Can anyone point me to a Video showing how to discharge the high voltage from my amps? The repair shops near me are closed and my friends don’t know either. I need to do some simple maintenance (replace a pot & clean the others). I can remove and reinstall a chassis... and I’m okay at basic soldering. I’m not afraid to do my own work, but I’m not a tech.

I have a late-90’s Delta Blues 115 (30W); and a mid-90’s Dual 212 (120W).

SImple, get out your volt meter and measure the DC voltage you find.

"Simple" meaning one's meter will discharge the stored energy of each testing point or place that energy exists?

No simple in that the meter will tell you if it is discharged or not.. Never assume.
