Post by rsmurray » Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:53 pm

I'm trying to figure out if this amp is stock or was converted.
gotten lots of opinions but no one seems to know for sure. a Peavey rep I know thinks it's stock.

Well, the key to me is the "BW Equipped" badge on the front. That means Black Widow speakers installed. Heads do not have speakers, so it could not possibly be BW Equipped. However, if it came with a companion cabinet that was BW equipped, I guess it makes sense.

I see you got the photos from Reverb? I found that picture, but also photos of the combo with a 15" speaker.

If it is a conversion, it is darn nice work.

Three things that I noticed are the black corner protectors, the grill cloth looks a little skewed at the top (like it has been altered) and, as Enzo pointed out, the BW Equipped badge.

is the grill removable from the front? If so, I'd say it's a good bet that this is a custom Job. A Darn good.
The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know.

Also, Peavey logo on front is wrong. It is not at the right angle. Peavey always places it on an up angle.

I think it’s custom job.
