Recently acquired an early Bandit Solo Series (Scorpion speaker) and it’s in fantastic condition for its age, but safe to say it has sat unused and unloved for some time. When I turn it up (not even to rehearsal volume), there is an extremely noticeable rattle coming from the amp - clean or distorted, it’s there. I took the front grill off and it doesn’t seem to be coming from the speaker; more so from the cabinet, almost like something is loose, but I can’t seem to find its source.
Very frustrating. Any suggestions? Think I may have to bite the bullet and take it to an amp tech, which is a bit of a pain in the arse here in Helsinki, and would likely cost more than what I paid for the heckin thing.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Bandit Solo Series rattle?
Re: Bandit Solo Series rattle?
Just going to have to open it up and explore.

Have you looked at the back side of the speaker? A guitar pick or screw trapped between the cone and the frame can make strange noises.
The more I learn the more I realize how much I don't know.
