Dating a Peavey Classic 30 (And Yes, I Read the Important Announcement)

Post by pfairlie » Mon May 25, 2020 5:22 pm

I have a Peavey Classic 30 bought in 1997 (Yes, I have the receipt). I'm trying to figure out the year of production. I've already seen the important announcement from Peavey saying that they can't help with these questions. I also seen posts in this forum and elsewhere online that don't seem to make sense given the purchase year and the attached label. Any help? Thanks. Regards, PF

Look at the date codes on transformers, controls, and other larger components. Even the speaker.

In my world condition matters more than age.
