Hello All:

My name is Mark D. Overholser. I just found this Forum, while searching for Information about my 1984 Peavey Foundation Bass.

I learned to Play Bass, in Middle School and High School Jazz Band.. That was 44 years ago..

My Senior Year of High School, I got to play a Brand New, Peavey T45, in Black... After I graduated from High School, and worked the Summer on the Family Farm, I decided to spend some that money on a New Bass.. I was looking for a T45, since I found I really liked playing it, even though it was a Heavy Bass.. I found it was replaced with the Foundation. So what I purchased was a Southern Ash, with the Satin Finish, Peavey Foundation. I still have this Bass today, and still play it in public, once in a while..

Being an Early Foundation, ( was the Foundation released in 1983? ), it came with the same Knobs as the T45, and the Flat/Wide Pickups that I found were very Nice Sounding, and think are pretty good for being Passive Pickups...

I am guessing that this Foundation is the 4 String with the VFL Pickups . ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Peavey_guitars )

Any way, I'm finally Branching Out and getting some Pedals, and setting up my first Pedal Board..

Thanks for providing this Forum..

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Nice to hear your story. That sounds like a great bass. What’s your amp setup?
