Hey Everyone!
Its been a awhile since being on here. Sadly I have not gigged out in years. Life kinda happened. Got married, bought a house, have two dogs, no kids, working two jobs, and had double hernia repair surgery, ironically not from lifting heavy stuff. Recovered from that ordeal thankfully.
Would any of the resident experts be able to give me a ballpark figure for the setup below? Truth be told I hate to see the system go though it sits most of the time. I tried selling it before the pandemic and all I got was low ballers. After dealing with that crap for a bit I figured for those dollar figures Im better off keeping it for the house parties and the summer neighborhood outdoor movie theater BBQ my neighbor throws multiple times during the summer.

Re: Fair price for my PA system
It may be a bit more helpful if you explained your speakers better.
two SP1x15H
two SP1x18 Subs
2- Sp1X15H? Is that 2 Sp1's with 15 inch woofers? There were 2 Sp1's series of speakers that came out. The first Sp1's were a large horn loaded box and the 2nd ones were called SP1G's. They had a 44XT horn driver in them with a 4 inch voice coil.
2-SP1X18 subs? I don't know of any SP1 subs. Not in the USA anyway. They do have a SP Sub though. Any chance you can post some pictures?

Re: Fair price for my PA system
Appreciate the helpful post. Sadly seems nobody wants any big speakers these days. Still got the system, using it twice a year for some neighborhood festivities and hosting a 6 band house party. I can live with that for now, at some point I'll likely sell it for cheap someday, maybe help some high school kids get their start.

Well, this kind of equipment is not bought on a whim. You need to get matching transport and space, not just for the initial haul but also for your intended use case. A starting travelling band will likely have a space problem in their tour bus already, an established band will not be thinking first of used equipment, particularly not a complete solution. It's a bit large other than for concert use, and movies rather rely on surround sound.Bassguitarist1985 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 10:13 pmAppreciate the helpful post. I'd expect this to stay listed on some Craigslist style site for over a year given a sensible price (probably backing off 15% every 6 months), and an auction format does not make sense since I don't expect there to be more than one party of interest at a time.
Some community facility with enough space may have use for it to PA the local kids' concerts. Considering the equipment "written off" might give you options you end up more satisfied with than selling for some ridiculous fraction of their original price.
