preamp confusion

is it possible to use my Fender Mustang III amplifier as a preamp to my Peavey 6505 combo amplifier?
I was hoping to use the modeling features thru the 6505..If its possible, please tell me how.

Of you get a cable with a XLR connector on one end and a 1/4" plug in the other you should be able to run the Mustang's line out into the effects return of your 6505 and use your 6505 as a tube power amp.
